Multi-stone layout

Loupe placement
Before and after

Seven outcomes. Signature level.

  1. 01 Design multi-stone layouts that read as editorial, not stickers
  2. 02 Work with specialty cuts, baguettes, marquise, pear, and combine safely on a single tooth
  3. 03 Place on difficult anatomy, rotated laterals, worn canines, veneered surfaces
  4. 04 Build a signature style that shows up in your portfolio and your pricing
  5. 05 Source stones direct from trade suppliers at the right grade, not Alibaba
  6. 06 Re-shoot your portfolio to editorial standard, lighting, framing, colour
  7. 07 Command a $450 to $900 price point without flinching

Craft, complexity, then the business of both.

Day one

Craft

  • Stone anatomy, cut recognition, grading in hand
  • Composite chemistry deep dive, why advanced work fails on day fourteen
  • Layout theory, the rule of thirds applied to a tooth
  • Your first custom design briefed live, three sketches before lunch
  • Supervised placement on typodont, multi-stone
  • Peer critique, ruthless, kind

Day two

Complex placements

  • Difficult anatomy clinic, rotated and crowded teeth
  • Placing over veneers and composite bonding, what to do, what to refuse
  • Live client one, full multi-stone layout from consult to finish
  • Removal of complex work without damage
  • Longevity engineering, making a layout last eighteen months
  • Failure gallery, thirty real cases, what went wrong, why

Day three

Business of craft

  • Live client two, signature layout, your design, your hands
  • Portfolio photography, three light setups that work in any studio
  • Pricing ladder, how to move from $150 placements to $650 placements in a quarter
  • Content strategy, what gets booked, what gets ignored
  • Assessment, a judged multi-stone placement graded by Nhi
  • Certificates, closing circle, alumni roster

This is for you if

  • You place gems already, you want to be known for the layout, not the service.
  • Your portfolio looks fine and your pricing feels stuck.
  • You want trade supplier access and proper loupe work.
  • You want to charge $650 and sell it in a sentence.

This is not for you if

  • You have never placed a gem, start on Beginner.
  • You want CPD credit for AHPRA registration, Professional covers that.
  • You are hoping for a weekend certificate and nothing pushed. We will push.
Nhi, instructor

Nhi plus a guest
editorial photographer.

Advanced cohorts run with Nhi on craft and clinical, plus a guest editorial photographer for the portfolio day. Portfolio is the bottleneck stopping most technicians from charging properly, so we fix that before you leave.

Past guest photographers have shot campaigns for local fashion labels and cosmetic clinics. Lighting kit provided, you leave with forty images.

I came in placing one gem at $180. I left pricing multi-stone layouts at $550 and actually selling them. The photography day alone rebuilt my whole feed.

Nhi does not let you cruise. Day two I rebuilt a layout three times before she nodded. Best three days of the year for my business.
