Typically four to eight shades in one sixty minute session, measured against the VITA classical guide. Starting shade, enamel thickness and staining cause set the ceiling. We are honest at the consult about what to expect.

Mild cold sensitivity is common and peaks around twenty-four hours after the session. It resolves within forty-eight hours. We apply a desensitising fluoride varnish at close and send you home with a maintenance tray that doubles as a sensitivity buffer.

Twelve to twenty-four months with standard care. Heavy coffee, red wine and curry-based diets re-stain faster. A monthly thirty minute touch-up in your take-home tray holds the shade indefinitely.

Natural enamel whitens. Crowns, veneers and composite restorations do not. We photograph and shade-match at the consult so you know before you sit the chair whether whitening will create a colour mismatch against existing work.

Yes. The peroxide gel is clinical grade and applied by dentally-trained technicians on a protected field. Peroxide oxidises stain molecules above the enamel surface. It does not soften, thin or weaken the tooth.

Avoid deeply coloured food and drink for twenty-four hours. The "white diet" rule — if it stains a white t-shirt, it stains your teeth during the post-treatment window. Coffee, red wine, berries, beetroot, turmeric, dark sauces. Back to normal after forty-eight hours.
